Autumn is here and it’s only 25 degrees.

Welcome to the blog – Autumn on the Costa del Sol!

Hi, my name is Charlotte, and I’ve recently been appointed as an ambassador for AbraCasaBra. As part of this role, I’ll be writing blog posts for our website—and here is my first, but definitely not my last!

It’s the first of October today, and summer is officially over. Today, the Spanish men are finally putting their shorts away and switching to long trousers, because it’s autumn now!

Well, everything is relative. The thermometer still shows 25∘C (77∘F), so for us Scandinavians, it still feels more like the middle of summer! As a permanent resident, I truly enjoy this time of year, especially after three months of intense heat. The mass tourists have returned to their home countries, and it feels like we are finally getting our Sunny Coast back.

Flights from Sweden are still arriving full in Malaga, but the type of traveller looks a little different. We see a lot of couples and seniors who want to enjoy the ideal climate—between 24∘C and 28∘C—and the reduced crowds. Among these visitors are many golfers, and those of us working with real estate naturally welcome potential clients who come here to look for a second home or a holiday property. We are here, ready to show you around the entire coast and, hopefully, find your dream home.

In this context, I also want to mention the enormous variety of different areas along the coast. I have quite good knowledge of these areas after being a resident here for over 20 years. Nueva Andalucia is beautiful; I lived there myself for over 10 years, and it is now often called the ‘Swedish capital of Spain’. However, there is so much more to explore that might suit you even better. Allow me to show you around! More on this in upcoming blog posts.
